Carla is a Shreveport native and a founding member of the Elite team, where she oversees the organization’s growth and strategic direction. Having been immersed in the healthcare industry for most of her life, Carla brings both experience and deep compassion to her leadership role. Her passion is firmly rooted in helping others, with a special place in her heart for caring for the elderly. As she often shares, “If I had one lesson for caregivers in the trenches of caring for their loved ones, it would simply be to embrace the blessing of time.”

Carla is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and earned her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006, where she completed an internship at a children’s hospital in Fort Worth. Outside of work, she is an avid music fan who enjoys traveling, basketball, and relaxing on the back patio with her family. Carla is married and the proud mother of two beautiful daughters.

Born and raised in Shreveport, Joanna King is a proud member of Elite’s founding team and a driving force behind the company’s growth and operations. With more than 20 years of experience in the staffing industry, Joanna has played a key role in building a people-centered organization—connecting skilled healthcare professionals with medical facilities while also supporting families through compassionate in-home care services.

Before co-founding Elite Health Solutions, Joanna earned her marketing degree from LSUS and went on to serve as a branch manager for a national medical staffing company, where she first crossed paths with Carla. Her unmatched dedication, strategic mindset, and steady leadership help keep the Elite team focused on delivering exceptional care to every client and community served.

Joanna is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the community she calls home. Outside of work, she is a devoted wife, proud mom of two, and a country girl at heart.

Jennifer joined the Elite team in 2021 and has been keeping everything running smoothly ever since! She ensures our employees are paid accurately and on schedule — all while managing a wide range of financial duties that keep our company strong.
With over 15 years of experience in payroll and accounting across multiple industries, Jennifer brings both skill and heart to the Elite team.
When she’s not crunching numbers, she loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Meet the Team: Shawn Hawn 

Shawn is a dedicated Staffing Coordinator who has been with Elite Health Solutions since 2024. She plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care — from facilitating the intake of new caregiving clients to managing the complex staffing needs for our Council on Aging clients.

With 9 years of experience coordinating caregiving schedules, Shawn is an expert at fostering strong caregiver–client relationships while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and compassionate care. She also goes above and beyond by taking weekend on-call shifts and supporting other vital responsibilities that serve our aging community.

When she’s not working, Shawn is a proud Swiftie who loves traveling, volunteering, and making memories with her family — especially her two granddaughters, who lovingly call her “Birdie.”

Meet Audrey Garza!

Audrey is part of the Elite Health Solutions team in our Invoicing and Accounts Receivable Department. She joined Elite in 2023, bringing with her over 20 years of accounting experience and a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Audrey plays a key role in preparing invoices, ensuring accounts are billed correctly, and making sure payments are received on time — helping keep our operations running smoothly every day.

Outside of work, Audrey loves spending time with her family and friends, making the most of every moment together.

Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, Courtney joined Elite in 2021 as a recruiter and quickly progressed into a Human Resources and compliance role. In late 2022, she was named HR Director, where she leads initiatives that support both employees and organizational growth.

Courtney has been a military spouse for 15 years, relocating with her family to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she continues to contribute to Elite remotely. Academically, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, an Associate degree in Business, and recently completed her HR Certificate from the University of Tennessee. Her life motto is:
“We should never stop learning and trying to better ourselves.”

Before joining Elite, Courtney gained experience in banking, accounting, and office operations, ultimately discovering her passion for human resources, believing that people are the most valuable asset of any organization.

Cheryl has been with Elite since its conception in 2008. She oversees on-call most weekends and nights. She is a VITAL part of our organization and assists families and facilities with caregiving services, staffing needs and other matters that come up.

During the week, Cheryl also manages a career in law enforcement, where she has served for 10 years. Her ability to handle the stress of what we do each day is simply amazing, and we are very grateful for all she does. She is the mom of two children and has two sweet grandbabies. 

Kasey Thomas – Receptionist / Front Desk Clerk

Kasey joined Elite in the summer of 2025 as a caregiver and transitioned to Receptionist in June of the same year. She is the first point of contact for anyone visiting Elite and ensures that phone calls are answered promptly and professionally.

Before joining Elite, Kasey worked as a paraprofessional at a Head Start Center. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, and crafting. Kasey is married with two children and is a proud “Sassy” to her three grandchildren, cherishing family time above all.

Born and raised in Washington state, Shannon moved to Shreveport in 2012. Since that time, she has worked full time in the dental industry for over 13 years. She works with Elite at night and on the weekends as our on-call coordinator, where she assists clients and employees as needed. In addition, she is currently putting herself through nursing school. She is the proud wife and mom of 6 sweet kids. Just like her favorite color, glitter, she likes to put a little sparkle in her patient care. 

Meet the Team: Crystal James 

Crystal joined Elite Health Solutions in 2024 as an Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator and has since grown into her current role in Payroll and HR. Always willing to step in wherever she’s needed, Crystal is known for her reliability, positive attitude, and dedication to helping others.

Before joining Elite, Crystal spent 12 years working in various areas of healthcare, gaining valuable experience that now helps her support both our team and our clients. She truly has a heart for service and a passion for making a difference in people’s lives.

Outside of work, Crystal is a proud single mother of two who enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.

Meet Patti Ann Lucero Grace!

Patti is a proud Shreveport native and has been part of the Elite Health Solutions team since 2023. She brings 22 years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator, along with a strong background in payroll, accounting, and apartment management. Her diverse experience and dedication make her an invaluable part of our staffing operations.

Outside of work, Patti is an avid reader, animal lover, and enjoys great music — especially Geoff Castellucci and VoicePlay.

She’s been happily married for 42 years and is the proud mother of one daughter.
